Dodging the deer.
I t's been hot the last few days and really we should be thinking about leaving the dogs to get fat laying the sun till autumn, after talking to Pete though we decided to have a hunt this morning in behind his house. W e meet up the creek a bit around day break, I was only wearing a thin shirt at 6am thinking it's going to get hot quick today, we were walking into an area loaded with deer but as it was windy and right up our ass, I thought we may be ok, the deer don't like the wind much or the smell of the great unwashed. W e had Ming, also Puk (the holder), Jude&Chi (9 month olds) and Pete's one eyed dog Zack (Jude&Chi's father) plus Hank, Jude&Chi's brother, Ming, Zack & Jude on the find and they were off down wind stopping around 600meters away, something was up, so me and Pete began to sidle eventually me leaving Pete, then climbing after what looked like dogs running in all directions, no barking was heard initially with ...
