I’d not long brought my first Android phone, so maybe this was some kind of upgrade package the Hospital was offering after I’d signed in, but my luck had deserted me again.
Earlier I’d woken with a very stiff neck and a deep headache, now I've woken occasionally with a odd stiff…. over the years, but never a headache like this, and to be honest I’d been feeling pretty shit for weeks since being struck by Lighting.
Maybe I was sulking about not getting any Super Powers from the strike or maybe I was on the way out? I'd better Call Ardi, who drives me everywhere, while I drive him to Religion is seems.
When I meet him he said he was a bad Muslim and after meeting me months later he is now a good Muslim, I’m not sure how to take this, but good is better than bad don’t you think.
I’m not sure if anybody read my blog about Chicken, but suspect my niece Em might be having a giggle about now. I’d once said to her “Life is a Shit Sandwich, Eat it or Die” she was know-doubt laughing about the shit in my Sandwich.
You know at home when your last resort is the A&E , take a number they say, and we will be right with you, hours later, long after you have died in your seat the number is called. Well not in Lombok, two hours drive and we were in the Hospital, (thanks Ardi) I walked in and was greeted by the lovely Idha , she actually seemed interested in what was wrong with me, unlike at home, she arranged for the nurses to take some blood while we spoke and 40 minutes later she told me I had Typhoid.
Which came as a great relief, because my mate Shaun had diagnosed me earlier as having Meningitis! I tend to ring Shaun when sick because his wonderful partner is a Doctor, lucky him!. He’d had it (meningitis) twice, so was know-doubt excited for someone else to go though the torture, pain and suffering of the experience, and he was happy to Re-live this while convincing me to get to the hospital. Thanks Mate. Special thanks to Gina, his long suffering wife and of-course Ardi my good friend who after meeting me is back on the path to paradise.
It looks like I’ll live, after my worse case of Man flu yet.
